Bonobo is run by a core team of four with a veritable Venn-diagram of skills. We may be small but we work hard and love what we do. To make the very best products, we’ve surrounded ourselves with a hand picked list of make-things-happen-ers from all over the world.
Our Creative Process
We’d love to tell you that product development is like baking muffins but it really isn’t. We’ve embraced the iterative nature of design and it is threaded into who we are and how we approach creating killer products.

Bonobos are the closest living relative to human beings and we are named in their honour. Guess what their favourite food is? Yep, it’s apple – green apple specifically. Bonobos are amazing creatures:
- They are only found in dense forest of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Africa.
- They are extremely community minded
- They are insanely intelligent, just look at this Bonobo play Pacman!
- Bonobos love to laugh and tickle like humans
- They have highly individual faces like humans, so they all look very unique
- Bonobos display altruism, compassion, empathy, kindness, patience and sensitivity
- They were only discovered in 1928
