Introducing iDoctor – Medical Logbook for iPhone

by @Ben 580 days ago

Doctors in training are busy people and the nature of their job involves lots of things to remember. Tracking patients, advice received from superiors, things you’ve learnt and want to remember, overtime…it all ends up a bit of a logistical nightmare usually involving a hefty amount of post-it notes.

Bonobo has collaborated with Dr. Rhys Clark to create the best medical logbook app available, we call it iDoctor. It lets you quickly get things out of your brain and stored for safe keeping. It’s quick and sexy so you will actually feel compelled to use it every day.  You can record precedures, patients, overtime, education and advice received. Photos can be attached for reference and everything can be exported as you please. iDoctor is a must have app for any medical professional in training.

Part proceeds from iDoctor go to Australian Doctors for Africa, a charity providing volunteer doctors and nurses to areas of need in Africa.

You can check out some more details here or get iDoctor from the App Store directly, available now for $9.99.  If you’ve got questions about iDoctor be sure to hit us up in the comments!

I love this app, but all of a sudden if I try and edit an existing entry the app quits. I have true the old reboot trick, as well as shutting down all other apps to reduce the memory use, but to no avail. Any ideas please?

it would be perfect if it had an import feature so that large cases could be written up quickly using a desktop

Good app. Used primarily for procedure logging. Would appreciate the folowing changes re: procedures. -Most dates get garbled when exported to csv formatting. Fix this please. -Include tab for public/private procedures. This would be especially useful when logging for private assisting. -Have a pre-made list of common procedures that users can add to. Was time-consuming adding run of the mill procedures like DHS, clonoscopy etc. -Include tab for in-hours and after-hours procedures. Thanks. Impressive log-book app that can only get better with feedback/use.

Hello and well done for iDoctor! It's simple yet efficient, thanks! Are you planning on making iDoctor a universal app for the iPad? This would be really nice... Would it also be possible too to implement an "import feature" (simple csv)?

Hi there, looks like a useful app. Would it be possible to include a stand alone section for entering cases in for audit purposes and perhaps a section for operations to include complications?

Thanks for the feedback! We will add it to the list of features to be considered for version 2.

could you please add voice memo link to the program. This way you could attach a memo to a particular patient or procedure. Also an additional feature that would be really nice would be to include ICD-9 diagnosis codes and CPT procedural codes.
